The Creative PM

The Creative PM is a site dedicated to the unique role of a creative project manager, commonly referred to as a CPM. Here, you'll find first-hand knowledge of the role from an expert in the field. 

Depending on where you are on your CPM journey, this site covers everything from introductory tips on resume writing to veteran moves like identifying and managing difficult stakeholders. Basically, everything you need to know to be successful in a creative project management role. The site is broken down into the following sections: 

Role Overview - Learn about the roles and responsibilities of a creative project manager, the skills and education necessary for the role, as well as potential career paths.

Project Process - The project management process usually follows the following structure: Planning > Executing > Monitoring and Controlling > Closing. This section gets into the weeds on each of these key phases of a project, including tools you can develop, best practices, and tips and tricks for finding efficiencies.

Managing - Learn about different external pressures on the creative project manager role – everything from feedback to difficult stakeholders (my favorite section!) – and how to effectively manage them.

Tips & Tricks - This section includes pointers for how to get the job (see: Resume Writing and Interviewing) and also Hacks for insider tips when you're in the role.
